Who is a Physiotherapist?
A physiotherapist possesses the necessary medical knowledge, both theoretical and practical, acquired during their studies and subsequently through professional training and courses. They are experts in diagnosing and treating injuries, prescribing exercises, preventing injuries, rehabilitation, and many other areas of health and sports.
What should I bring to the consultation?
Be prepared to discuss your past medical or surgical history. If you have relevant test results, including X-rays, ultrasound, MRI, or CT scans, please bring them with you.
Additionally, bring a positive attitude and a willingness to cooperate.
How many visits will I need?
The number of treatments will vary depending on the issue and the individual seeking consultation and further treatment. After a thorough assessment, a treatment plan and specific goals will be discussed.
What should I wear for the appointment?
The best choice is comfortable attire, such as sportswear. This is especially useful during the treatment of issues involving the spine, knee joints, and shoulder joints.
Do I need a referral from a doctor?
It is not necessary. Physiotherapists with a master’s degree can assess and treat patients without a doctor’s referral. However, if you have one, please bring it to your first consultation/visit. It will be particularly useful if you are seeking compensation from your insurer.
